Our Ministry

Strengthening People—So That God’s Work Continues

We want to help people get to know God personally, deepen their relationship with Him and experience His work. We expect the Holy Spirit to speak and act today—in natural and supernatural ways. That is why we want to make room for His work and support people in living and acting with God.

As a travelling ministry, we want to provide fresh impetus and strengthen people and leaders so that they can listen to God themselves, use His gifts and equip others. We do not stay in one place permanently. It matters all the more to us that God's work continues and bears fruit after our visits.

Four Guiding Words for Our Mission

Prepare: We help people and communities align themselves with what God is doing. This includes a living relationship with God, a willingness to change and a desire to seek His guidance. Spiritual habits, previous ways of seeing things and existing structures may also need to be realigned with God.

Reach: We want to help people encounter God personally and experience His work. This applies both to those who do not yet know Christ and to Christians who want to encounter Him and deepen their relationship with Him.

Equip: We support Christians and spiritual leaders as they grow in their relationship with God, discover and release their gifts, and recognise their calling. In turn, they should be able to serve with God, become a blessing to others and strengthen and equip more people.

Revive: We expect God to bring new life to people and groups who have become spiritually weary or stuck. We want to help people overcome obstacles, make room for the work of the Holy Spirit and prepare the ground on which God can bring revival.

These four aims shape our three forms of ministry. Different emphases may emerge according to the situation and God's guidance.

How We Serve

1. Ministry by Invitation

We come by invitation to groups, congregations, churches and Christian ministries to support them in their spiritual concerns. Rather than simply following a predetermined programme, we want to listen to God together with those responsible and discern what He wants to do. This may also involve recognising obstacles to His work and seeking together the steps He is showing us.

Our visits can take many forms: worship services, conferences, training sessions, prayer evenings, retreats and other events. Depending on the situation, they may include worship, preaching and teaching, as well as personal prayer, prophetic ministry, healing and deliverance. These examples are not an exhaustive list of activities; what matters is where God leads us in each particular visit.

A particular priority for us is supporting and equipping leaders and leadership teams. We help them discern God's guidance for their ministry, address spiritual challenges, release gifts and encourage people in their calling. This may also include longer-term support for church plants.

We respect the responsibilities of the local leaders and want to work with them in mutual trust. Our shared focus on God may, however, also mean questioning previous assumptions or habits. We raise such matters openly and respectfully and seek God's guidance together.

2. Our Own Events

We organise our own spiritual evenings, seminars and conferences where people can encounter God, deepen their relationship with Him and experience His work.

Depending on the format, these may include worship, prayer, preaching, teaching and personal spiritual ministry. We want to offer opportunities to experience God's presence, receive fresh direction and encouragement, and find healing and growth through the work of the Holy Spirit.

Our events are generally open to everyone who is interested, including people who do not yet know Jesus Christ. However, they are often especially intended for Christians who want to deepen their relationship with God or be equipped for the next steps in their journey with Him. We trust that God also meets people who have had little or no previous experience of Him.

3. God's Task Force—Emergency Spiritual Support

Sometimes individuals, leaders or entire communities face urgent spiritual crises in which particular support is needed at short notice.

Through God's Task Force, we want to offer prompt and focused help. To make this possible, we deliberately reserve time so that we can also travel at short notice to provide spiritual support in Europe.

Our focus is on providing a form of initial spiritual support. We want to listen to God together with those affected, serve them through personal prayer and, with spiritual discernment and God's wisdom, recognise what is needed in the particular situation. In doing so, we make room for God to intervene and expect spiritual breakthroughs.

Our aim is to help people and communities in the immediate situation, help them find spiritual stability and open the way for ongoing care. Where more intensive long-term support is needed, it should, wherever possible, be provided by suitable people and those responsible locally.

We understand our spiritual ministry as a complement to, not a substitute for, medical or psychotherapeutic treatment and ongoing pastoral care. We believe God can work in different ways—including through doctors, therapists and pastoral counsellors.

Cooperation

Europe for Jesus is a Christian travelling ministry, not a church or congregation of its own. We see our work as complementing and supporting existing congregations, churches and Christian ministries.

We welcome cooperation with Christians from different traditions. We do not have to agree on every theological question. What matters to us is a shared openness to God's work today and trust in His guidance. On this basis, we hope for respectful cooperation in which those responsible can also trust that we seek to listen to God and follow His calling.

Our ministry is supported by prayer and voluntary donations. We do not make our visits conditional on financial or other forms of compensation. Those who share our vision can support us through prayer and donations, helping us serve other people and congregations as well.
